Do you think Christians indoctrinate their children?

Being raised in a Christian environment, I understand how few worldviews a child sees when all of the people in his life are evangelical Christians. Do you think that Christian children are being hindered by not being given an array of beliefs to decide from, or do you think that teaching children Christianity early on is necessary for true Salvation?
