If John Kerry's war record was an issue in 2004, why shouldn't John McCains be?

They BOTH worked together to seal their records and all MIA's and POW's from the Freedom of information Act. Why shouldn't the public (ie the people footing the bill---Tax-payers) be able to see it....No national security involved....Vietnam is not our enemy.
